Scott Horrell
Scott was born and raised in Cape Girardeau with a lot of good memories of growing up in Southeast Missouri. “Cape and the surrounding area has always been the ‘sweet spot’ in that it’s big enough that you don’t know everybody but small enough that you will still encounter a lot of people you know for a small town feel”. He went to Cape Central High School, married his high school sweetheart, then graduated from Belmont (College) University in 1987 with a BBA in Music Business. After their daughter was born while in Nashville TN they decided they wanted to raise their kids back home in Cape where they enjoyed growing up. Scott and Karen raised their two children Andrea and Zach where both graduated from Cape Central and Southeast Mo State University and are blessed with 5 grandchildren.
Upon returning from Nashville, Scott worked in the automotive field for a while but then found himself in construction. He has worked in the construction and construction related industry for the past 34 years. Scott has had his hands on every facet of building a house from pouring the foundation to putting on the roof and everything in between. In 2001 he partnered with his father, Fred Horrell, in the family flooring business Cape Carpet & Supply Co. He has worn all the hats over the years including management, sales, marketing and installation. After his dad passed in 2018 Scott has been gravitating more to an interest in real estate investment and remodel/rehab/flip endeavors. Becoming a licensed real estate agent seemed like a “hand in glove” fit to his interests.
